I was inspired to write this fiction by listening to the older women in my yoga class who played women’s hockey! It’s self-published and formatted by my company, Prorisk Enterprises Ltd. I believe you will enjoy this fast-paced, motivating story.
Although childhood may claim to be the state of prodigy, being prodigious (remarkably or impressively great in extent, size, or degree) is a wide-open opportunity for anyone of any age. This book is a message to impress upon the world and all of a certain age.
After retiring, 69-year-old Maggie has a new dream. She wants to become a professional hockey player and won’t let anyone tell her she can’t. She practices every day, learning how to handle a hockey stick and improving her skating skills. But her friends and family are skeptical. They think she’s too old, too inexperienced, too everything.
But Maggie is not one to give up. She’s always been independent, challenging societal norms and expectations. And she sees her pursuit of professional hockey as a way to challenge those norms and prove that age and gender are no barriers to achievement. Plus, she sees it as a second chance to achieve her lifelong dream.
