A Book’s Lesson
My sister in law gave me a book for Christmas and the back jacket had a bold headline, “My name is Layla and I was born under an unlucky star.”
Whether you believe you are unlucky or not, whether you think you were born under a wandering or stay at home star, today, right now is who you are and your results are sitting right in front of you.
Does this fill you with a feeling of dread and “here we go again” or are you feeling good that you are living how you planned all along? Either way, underneath, your life is being directed by a master magician who wields a magic wand and leads you down the path you experience every single moment!
And even if you don’t understand what I just wrote, or even if you know deep down your subconscious belief system runs your life, it makes sense to pay attention to your feelings. When you pay attention to how you feel in a given moment making a decision about where to go, what to do, what to eat, trust yourself that you have more control than that invisible magician.
It’s not will power as such, because will power is weak. It’s a conviction and commitment to an end result you desire.
That’s why you first need to learn how to become friends with the subconscious magician and acknowledge that he or she has been doing a bang up job of leading your life. You see, you gave the magician the power to guide you. It’s been an unconscious journey and it’s time you took back control of your life. So simply say thank you, now I’m the adult and taking over!
There, doesn’t’ that feel good?
When you have learned and embraced yourself the way you truly are, you begin to trust yourself that you can accomplish what you set your mind and heart to accomplish…
You, your self-confidence, your marketing (sharing yourself to those who need and want you) and your ability to create change in the world, is a responsibility you can effectively create for yourself.
That’s why it important to know the magician, appreciate the magician and understand that you are in charge of your destiny. You know what you want to happen, what you don’t want to happen, and now is the time to take charge of your life.
The book gave me inspiration that even if I sometimes feel I was born under and unlucky star, I can change. Layla, the main character in the book “Teatime for the Firefly” by Shona Patel, had huge obstacles to overcome, but believed in a path, even though fraught with resistance from herself and outside herself, she was destined to show the world how to live a better life.
I hope a book, a friend, a business associate tips you to journey down a path to make a wild and crazy positive difference in the world. Heaven knows we could use some of that today!
Stay enchanted rather than disillusioned and have a beautiful day,
Great job today,
P.S. Ask yourself this. Are you really ready to make a change? If so, let me know and let’s set up a time to chat. http://proriskenterprises.com/contact-coach-aunti
