Since you last laid eyes on any of my articles or posts, two unquestionably stupendous things happened in my business.

I get it; life is busy, and naps happen. Kidding. Anyhow, here is what I have been cooking up.
I’ve done hundreds of content editing and proofreading for authors’ books and even though they are published and some reach best-seller status, I realized they don’t market themselves well. And they admit it!
Authors are authors and marketers are marketers and never the twain shall meet! Seriously, there are so many differences between two industry groups of people that the two skills seldom exist together in one person. Lol
My findings were astonishing after researching LinkedIn, to find there are 2,490,000 people who use the keyword “author” in their headers and bios. But…
**cue dramatic music**
Clicking on dozens of faces into their profiles netted a surprising and horrifying result. The one key element that was missing in more than 90% was they had no call to action. No request for connection or next step. No ask for the book sale! Sacrilege!
Maybe, the reason for profiles and bios isn’t clear enough for most people? I don’t know, so I researched Google about why having a strong bio is essential. And I was flabbergasted at the ramblings that crafting one was as easy as expanding on a resume. I don’t think so! Well, no wonder these millions of authors and other industry profiles don’t fully sell themselves. Resumes don’t have call to actions either, right?

So what’s the other stupendous thing that’s happening in my business? I’m doing more ghostwriting for those who want memoirs or autobiographies and can’t seem to get the words down. But more on that later.
